GOSSTANDART is a republican governmental authority in the field of  technical normalization, standardization, metrology, conformity assessment, energy efficiency, construction surveillance and monitoring of compliance of projects and estimates with regulations and standards, as well as supervision of rational use of fuel, electricity and heat.

GOSSTANDART represents the Republic of Belarus in international and regional organizations (ISO, IEC/CEN, CENELEC, OIML, UN ECE, EASC, ILAC, COOMET), participates in the General Conference of Weights and Measures, has bilateral cooperation with national organizations for standards, metrology and conformity assessment of foreign countries. GOSSTANNDART takes active positions in the field of technical regulation within integration structures – EASC and CIS.
